Portugal come into this tournament as European Champions and with Ronaldo upfront in the form of his life, Portugal are one of the favourites to reach the finals of Confederations Cup. Top two teams from each group will qualify for the semifinals and if Portugal win their opening game against Mexico all they need is one more win in either against Russia or New Zealand and they will be in the semifinals.
Mexico on the other hand will be looking to get something out of this game and one would think its between Mexico and Russia for 1 qualifying place for the semifinals. It is going to be a good game with Ronaldo’s Portugal heavy favourites which set up this game nicely for the viewers around the world.
Match Predictions: Portugal has a very mean defense and that where their game is built on, but with Ronaldo and couple of other pacy forwards they are so strong on the counter attacks. They are one of those teams who can get a result even when not playing to their full potential and I can see a competitive game with Ronaldo getting on scoresheet to kill of Mexico.
